An Interview with–A King's Journey Tarot

I have been looking forward to this day for awhile now.  This deck came out a few months ago and I was finally able to get a copy for myself.   A King’s Journey Tarot by Chanel Bayless and illustrated by James Battersby, can be purchased as a limited edition directly from Chanel on her website.  Chanel and James both can be found on Facebook as well.  I was thrilled to learn that Chanel lives only an hour from me and so we met for lunch and she delivered my kit in person.  How cool is that?  Please check back often for posts using the images of this fabulous deck.   And now, without further ado, here is the interview with A King’s Journey Tarot.

Tell me about yourself.  What is your most important characteristic?

Queen of Wands:  Energy is my most important characteristic.  My energy is boundless.  It’s confident, bold, creative, sexy, and larger than life.

What are your strengths as a Tarot deck?

Five of Swords:  My strengths lie in being decisive.  The ability to see the truth of a situation and discern  the best possible choice to make or direction to take.  Knowing when to fight or take flight.

What are your limits as a Tarot deck?

Temperance:  I am often called the Healing card of the deck.  Realistically there is only so much I can do.  But I will do as much as I am able;  Like giving comfort, offering guidance, teaching moderation and balance, and  reassurance that your Angels are close by to help you.

What are you here to teach us? (me)

Ten of Cups:  I am here to teach you and remind you to be ever grateful and to show your gratitude for all your many blessings.  Recognize and appreciate the people who support you for who you are and for your endeavors.  “When you embrace what you’ve been given in life, the Universe will be happy to send you more.”

How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?

The Sun:  By expecting the very best.  Approach with optimism, look for blessings and allow your light to shine through.  Know yourself, stay centered but, remember to have fun!

What is the potential outcome from our working relationship?

Six of Swords:  A spiritual journey, a quest that never ends, but continues as long as you are willing to be a seeker.  If you continue to seek you will continually grow from the lessons learned and the many experiences you gain along the journey.

Any final words?

Nine of Coins:  Yes, just a few;  time, patience, prosperity, self-reliance, freedom.  The grass is not always greener, be mindful of what you wish for.

Just as I suspected, this will be an interesting journey indeed.
