The Card of the Day for Monday, July 11, 2016 is from the Silver Witchcraft Tarot by Barbara Moore and Franco Rivolli. Lo Scarabeo 2014.
Two of Swords
Trials and Passages
“When everything else is still, it is the moments just before movement takes place. Even the harshest conditions, conflict could be transformed and used as an instrument to grow. The choices you make in difficult moments will brighten the road once the sun has returned.” ~Barbara Moore
Everyday we are faced with choices from the most mundane of which shoes to wear, to more complex life choices, and some days even the smallest decision feel impossible to make. Especially if you have a lot of outside sources trying to influence your choice. The Two of Swords traditional meaning is understanding the necessity of choice. In so many cases there is no clear answer, because the choices are so close. You’ve weighed the pros and cons and found there is very little separating either side. Now you just have to decide which choice will work best in the long run. Sounds easy, right? Not always.
The image in this card looks to me as if there are faces in the background behind her. As if there are people behind her telling her their opinions and/or giving her advice, whether she wants or needs it or not.
Weigh carefully your options, the pros and cons, and if possible shut out any outside influence, which you really don’t need at the moment, to make your best choice in this matter.
