Oracle Guidance for week beginning Sunday, May 10, 2015 is from the Celtic Lenormand by Chloe McCracken and illustrated by Will Worthington. U.S. Games Systems, Inc. 2014
“Just because I do not accept the teachings of the devotaries does not mean I’ve discarded a belief in right and wrong.”
“But the Almighty determines what is right!”
“Must someone, some unseen thing, declare what is right for it to beright? I believe that my own morality — which answers only to my heart — is more sure and true than the morality of those who do right only because they fear retribution.” ~Brandon Sanderson, The Way of Kings
Focus for the week is the Cross. The Cross has many key words such as: burden, ethics, religion, selflessness, spirituality, destiny, distress, suffering, and morality, to name a few. This week you will find you need to examine your moral ideals and ethics in a situation. Are you willing or equipped to assert what you know to be right and fair? The Boat may be a vehicle for you to escape (metaphorically) the situation and thus avoid any responsibility in this situation. It can also represent the freedom you seek from the cross that you bear. The Man of course can represent you or an important man in your life. In this reading the Man can be someone who is rational and assertive, but being too rational does not always work in all situations and being assertive can turn into aggression. Sometimes there is more than just a rational, intellectual approach to everything, and trying to ignore it won’t make it go away.
We all have our crosses to bear and neither trying to escape them or ignore them will solve anything. When you are faced with the situation/challenge this week, you may as well face it and do what you know is the “right” thing to do.
