Reading for Tuesday, August 11, 2015 is from the Joie de Vivre Tarot by Paulina Cassidy, 2011 – U.S. Games Systems, Inc.
Affirmation /Thought for the Day: “Don’t rush in order to have things done early. Be prepared before you set off. That’s the rule. However, this does not mean that you keep delaying the time for beginning. You must begin by all means! Go, get prepared!”
― Israelmore Ayivor
In your dealings today, you’ll do well to remember and follow the accepted traditions and philosophies in practice, in your particular situation. For instance, if you were preparing to visit a foreign country and you were aren’t familiar with the local customs you could inadvertently offend and make yourself unwelcome. You’d do well to brush up on any of the socially accepted niceties before risking an unfortunate misunderstanding. This applies right in your own community, too. Depending on the situation and place you find yourself today, you’ll want to do your research before you commit an unintended faux-pas.
The Knight of Swords is the force behind you, helping to put your ideas into action. He’s gung-ho and has the passion for anything you wish to accomplish, but he can be a little rash. He’ll charge in without having a fully developed plan of action. This is where the advice of The Hierophant, comes into play. Be passionate and motivated, but more importantly, be prepared.
Remember that your actions have a direct correlation to what happens next. With that word-of-caution in mind, you’ll still want to take action, keeping in mind that timing is everything. The Wheel – “Seek and recognize the cycles of life, for every turning point effects a personal transformation in circumstances and perspective. In the midst of unstoppable change, opportunities will present themselves for a limited time. Take action in that moment so as not to lose out on lucky chances that spin your way.” (pg. 10)
