Reading for Wednesday, August 12, 2015 is from the Joie de Vivre Tarot by Paulina Cassidy, 2011 – U.S. Games Systems, Inc.
Affirmation / Thought for the Day: In this life, we have to make many choices. Some are very important choices. Some are not. Many of our choices are between good and evil. The choices we make, however, determine to a large extent our happiness or our unhappiness, because we have to live with the consequences of our choices. ~James E. Faust
The Hanged Man teaches us to take a step back and get a better look at the bigger picture. If not, you could make a decision with only a small portion of the information you need to make the best decision. You’ll want to hold off until you have more information and have given this the consideration it needs – whatever is it you’re dealing with right now. Advice: “Stop and change the tempo. Relax and reflect as you sort thoughts and ideas, which in turn will help you find a new way to deal with a situation. Let of of old patterns that get you nowhere.” (pg. 12)
In the Seven of Cups, Wish, need to focus on only only one choice, one opportunity, but she isn’t sure which one to choose. This is purpose of The Hanged Man, and the need to hold off in making your final choice. “Several attractive choices presented at once can be confusing. Give all opportunities careful thought before jumping in. (pg. 33)
The Six of Wands show the success you will achieve (at least a step in the right direction) by following the advice given above. “Delight is experiencing victory after overcoming obstacles. By resolving issues in a diplomatic and graceful manner, satisfaction can be achieved.” (pg. 23)
