Gaian Tarot by Joanna Powell-Colbert

“The older we get, the more picky we become about the expenditure of our energies. The older we become, the more we ask ourselves “Is this person worth the energy? The time?” And, “Is this situation worth this kind of energy and time?” We become choosy about who and what we spend energy on. We allow ourselves to be freed from the people and the things that simply don’t deserve our life force. The older we get, the more we realize how precious our life force is and how much we ought to guard it, and keep ourselves wrapped inside the kind of energies that serve our purpose.”

Living your best possible life. I see the progression from the birth of a new idea-a new beginning; setting boundaries that support your progress; the investment of emotional connections; and the culmination of a life well lived.

“THE GOOD LIFE requires that we take pleasure in new things; A GOOD LIFE requires that we take pleasure in moments.
To enjoy THE GOOD LIFE we have to get ahead; to enjoy A GOOD LIFE we have to make the trip worthwhile.
THE GOOD LIFE is supported by feeding our pocketbooks; A GOOD LIFE is supported by feeding our souls.”
~ Steve Goodier

Setting healthy boundaries is a must to keep you on point but, remember to breathe. Too much planning can derail you from enjoying the life you seek by focusing too much on the details. Remember, the whole point is to enjoy the journey, to live fully in the moments of that journey, and to enjoy the fruits of your labor as you near the end of that journey. Now that your mind has been awakened, don’t forget to open your heart as well.

Points to Ponder:

  • What new idea or revelation is bursting into life?
  • What structure or boundaries do I need to set or tend to?
  • How healthy are my emotional relationships? Am I truly invested?
  • What step(s) can I take to help ensure an abundant life: physically, mentally, emotionally, and materially?

Try drawing a card for each point. I drew the following cards in order for each point: the Ace of Earth, Ace of Air, The Emperor, and the Ace of Fire.
