Steele Wizard Tarot Three of Wands – Materialism – I Am

“You are one thing only. You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator. You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt, and within you dwells the infinite wisdom of the ages and the sacred creative force of All that is, will be and ever was.”
Anthon St. Maarten, Divine Living

Today’s reading closely mirrors yesterday’s.  Materialism, or The Devil in traditional decks, shows blockages where you are your own personal saboteur.  Materialism speaks to being too attached to material things and outcomes.  The Three of Wands is your plans, your optimism, your creative powers, and moving forward card.  But it is blocked by self-doubt, not being able to see the big picture, or possibly being too lazy just to follow through because it’s not going to work out anyway, attitudes.  To get past this destructive way of thinking and behaving isn’t easy.  It’s ingrained and possibly written onto our genes.  That’s not to say that it can’t be overcome and overwritten.  It’s more of a pre-disposition or a strong suggestion, not a stead fast rule.  We can’t expect to overcome this negative aspect of our psyche at the drop of a hat, but as long as we keep chipping away at it, we make progress.

“It is a denial of the divinity within us to doubt our potential and our possibilities.”
James E. Faust

The I Am card is an extra Major Arcana card in the Steele Wizard Tarot, and like the Tree of Life in yesterday’s reading, it is The Bigger Picture.  Steele writes:  “We are all One.  Knowing the Divinity within, and manifesting it in outward expression.  Acknowledging the various aspects of each individual is an intricate part of the Whole.  Realizing your true potential as a Divine Being having a Human Experience.” pg. 108

Remember, we are a Divine Being having a Human Experience, yes dear one, we are.
