“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself.” ~Alan Alda
Are you using your natural gifts and talents to the best of your abilities or do you acknowledge them at all? I’m speaking directly to your intuitive abilities, your inner knowing. Are you missing out on gifts that you haven’t developed or are afraid to develop?
The Four of Cups is unaware and doesn’t see what is right in front of his face. His dreaming expectations are unrealistic and he fails to appreciate the gifts being offered. On the other hand the High Priestess has her head in the clouds lost in her own musings. She is fully aware of her abilities, but she risks spending too much time in her ethereal world. Justice is there to strike a balance between the two extremes.
So, depending on where you find yourself at this juncture a balance must be sought and kept. It’s wonderful to have your “head in the clouds” but you must remember to keep your feet on the ground from to time. If you are the youth in the Four of Cups, then you are ignoring a side of yourself that needs attention.
