The reading for Tuesday, October 27, 2015 is from The Halloween Tarot by Kipling West and Karin Lee. U.S. Games Systems, Inc. 1996
“If we can just let go and trust that things will work out they way they’re supposed to, without trying to control the outcome, then we can begin to enjoy the moment more fully. The joy of the freedom it brings becomes more pleasurable than the experience itself.”
Don’t get too attached to your material possessions and/or things that don’t last, because everything is about to change. But, change is good even if it doesn’t feel that way when you’re in the midst of it. More often than not, when we look back at events of great change we can see that it worked out for the best. Such times go much easier if we can detach ourselves emotionally and accept that change is inevitable.
The Nine of Pumpkins (Pentacles) shows a simple appreciation of the good life, but it’s also accepting an unattached view of what the material world has to offer. The Ten of Bats (Swords) shows what we can experience if we hold onto too tightly. Mental agony and despair, feelings of ruin and emotional shut-down. The Death card theme is all about necessary endings making way for new beginnings.
