Reading for Wednesday, June 24, 2015 is from The New Palladini Tarot by David Palladini, U.S. Games Systems, Inc. 1996.
Affirmation / Thought for the Day: “Creativity isn’t a switch that’s flicked on or off; it’s a way of seeing, engaging and responding to the world around you.”
― Rod Judkins
This Seven of Cups has a little different spin – instead of being solely about having several different choices to make, this card speaks more to having a creative intelligence and a deep interest in many subjects and possessing a unique, multi-talented personality. Where some might say a person like this has no focus or no direction in life. I beg to differ. Some of the most interesting people I have met, have varied interests and a wild imagination. Thank God/dess for these people, for they are the variety, the spice of life that brings so much color to what could be an otherwise bleh existence.
The King of Pentacles steps up though and says, it’s all well and good being a flibberty-gibbet, but you’ve got to see the reality from time to time and take stock of the things that are necessary on the physical plane too. He’s the most level headed, especially where finances, and all the down-to-earth things that must be attended. He’s not here to squelch all your fun, just remind you to bring your head out of the clouds from time to time and take care of the necessities.
On the other side we see the Five of Rods (Wands) which (we’ve seen recently a few times) looks at possible tension and conflicts, probably at work. Maybe someone doesn’t share your enthusiasm or your ability to see things in a different light. Whatever the obstacle, you will come up with an imaginative way to overcome or get around it.
