Whistle while you work

The Lover's Path Tarot  I’ve been working with The Lover’s Tarot (U.S. Games Systems Inc.) by Kris Waldherr, 2004.

Today instead of asking the general question, “what do I need to know/learn?” I asked a more specific question.  “How can I make the most of my day?”  For my answer I drew the Prince of Coins (aka Knight of Pentacles), the King of Cups, and the Eight of Coins.  Well, at a first glance it certainly looks promising!  First off, I want to take a look at the keywords listed for each.

  • Prince of Coins:  Opportunities; Hard work; Development
  • King of Cups:  Practical artistry; Mastery; Emotional wisdom
  • Eight of Coins:  Talent; Compensation; Work

This tells me that today’s activities will be productive and should be pretty painless.  Which is quite a relief after the week I’ve had.  Everyone close to me, myself included, has complained of the same symptoms.  Not able to sleep, bad or disturbing dreams, a general crabbiness, a feeling of having a brain-cloud*  when trying to complete even the simplest and mundane tasks.

As my card of the day, (cotd) the Prince of Coins has the drive of the other Prince’s (Knights), but he is grounded and methodical.  He accomplishes much, not by being fast, but by perseverance and staunchness.  Now that the brain-cloud/fog is lifting, it’s up to me to draw on the energy of the King of Cups mastery and maturity and and the talent and satisfaction in doing a job well, that is found in the Eight of Coins.

Allow me to leave you with this thought…”Whistle while you work”

When there’s too much to do
Don’t let it bother you, forget your troubles,
Try to be just like a cheerful chick-a-dee

And whistle while you work
Come on get smart, tune up and start
To whistle while you work
